Maya's First Easter

Easter was quite the celebration this year. All our families got together and we had a wonderful lunch potluck. Betty's garden was in full bloom and besides the beauty of the flowers, there were hidden treasures all over the yard. The Easter Bunny had done a good job hiding the eggs for the little and not-so-little kids. We had three egg hunts, one for the little ones who could walk, one for the big ones who could walk, and one for the tiny ones who had to be carried. This was Maya's first Easter, and the Easter Bunny was so good to her. Some baskets were loaded with dresses, books and toys, while others (from Mum and Dad) were loaded with veggies, books, clothes, and some finger puppets. Miss Maya was teething and cranky for most of the day, but once she got her beauty rest, she was in good form, being a ham for all the guests.
The food was great, the wine kept flowing, dessert was decadent, and the company was stellar. After everyone had left, we blew bubbles and floated Maya through the...tired and happy, she slept for twelve straight hours that night.
